The Friends of Newlands Park 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held on 14th October 2026 at 7.30 pm at The Whiteford Room, Newlands South Church, Riverford Road, Glasgow, G43 2EG
All parkgoers are welcome to attend, we really want to hear from you!
Find out what our volunteers have been doing, what we plan to do next, and how you can influence the development of the park.
We will also be sharing draft concepts for the new play equipment that will be installed in the park soon! Come and see for yourself, and let us know what you think whilst there is still an opportunity to influence the design.
We are particularly in need of new committee members, so if you are interested, please get in touch with us before 7th October by emailing info@friendsofnewlandspark.org and we will happily answer any questions you may have.
We would love to welcome people to the committee who have younger children, to make sure that the park continues to be a welcoming and exciting place for all ages. We know that you will be very busy, but it is important that your voices are heard and our committee only meets 4 times a year, so its not too onerous.
Of course, new volunteers are always needed so come and be a part of a successful, thriving and sociable community. There are lots of ways to get involved. You don’t need to be a gardener and you don’t need to commit much time, just whatever you can spare, whenever it suits you. For instance, you could help with social media, fund raising, children’s activities, fairy house construction…
It is a great opportunity to use your skills and knowledge on local projects that you care about.
