Friends of Newlands Park

Newlands Park isn’t very big, but there is lots for children to do. Use your imagination and explore. Here’s a few things you can do to get started.

Playpark
Situated at the top of the hill, there are some swings and play equipment for little ones.

Pond
Look carefully and you might spot a newt or a frog. There are lots of insects to see too. Please don’t try to pick up or disturb the wildlife, just have fun watching them. Keep out of the pond and keep your dog out too!
We plan to sometimes run special educational activities at the pond like pond dipping with Froglife or the Countryside Rangers, so keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Geocaching is a fun, global treasure hunt. There are currently two caches in the park and we hope that there will soon be more. This introductory guide on the Geocaching website will get you started on how to take part and what to look out for.
